How it works for your company

Introductions an org chart would never make

Employees opt in and share a few interests, what they're hoping to learn, and what they can help with. Every round, matching uses that and what it knows about your company.

  • Crosses departments on purpose

Someone from a different department counts in a pairing's favor, so introductions reach past the team people already sit with.

  • Remembers who you've met

It leans toward departments a person hasn't had coffee with yet, so over a few months they meet across the company, not the same corner twice.

  • Matches help to need

What someone is hoping to learn is matched with what a colleague said they can help with. That's how mentoring starts without a form.

  • Knows your offices

Sharing an office counts in a pairing's favor, so a coffee can happen in person when it can.

Every introduction says why, like “You haven't grabbed coffee with anyone in Legal yet.”See the setup, step by step

Relationship infrastructure

Let's Get Coffee helps you build the relationships your organization depends on.

Introductions help people reach beyond their usual teams and circles. Conversations turn those introductions into trust and opportunity. We make that happen round after round, not only for the outgoing few, and not only by accident.

Thoughtful introductions

Bring together people who have a real reason to know one another, not random names in a weekly shuffle.

Conversations worth having

Give each introduction context, a clear reason to connect, and gentle support for a worthwhile conversation.

Visible connection

See whether introductions are happening, where participation is growing, and which groups may need another invitation.

Trust. Participation is opt-in, and every introduction comes with a reason. Hosts see that connections are forming, never what's said.

Joy. Invitations feel personal, not mandatory. A warm reason to meet someone new, not another task on the list.

Programs you can run

One tool, a few kinds of round

A round is who's included (the whole company or a group you make) and how often they meet. Run one, or a few side by side.

New-hire cohorts

A group for this quarter's new hires

A round for the people still learning where things are. Every round they meet someone outside their own team, which is how someone new finds out who to ask.

Cross-team coffee

The whole company

Engineering meets Legal, Sales meets Product. The conversations that prevent expensive mistakes start before anything has gone wrong.

Hybrid and multi-office

Everyone, remote and in-office

A steady way for people who never share a hallway to meet, so a colleague in another city is a person and not a name on a screen.

Learning from a colleague

Built into every round

Someone hoping to learn a skill is introduced to a colleague who said they can help with it. Both said so themselves, so nobody is volunteered. A formal mentoring program is available on request.

The buddy program

Every new colleague gets a buddy

One friendly colleague to ask the questions that feel too small to ask anyone else. You choose the pairs, the way you already do. We look after the 90 days that follow, which is where spreadsheet buddy programs quietly stop.

  1. Before day one

    You pick the pair

We suggest three buddies for each new colleague, with a plain reason for each, like same office, different team. You decide, so you can keep it outside their reporting line.

  2. Week one

    A first coffee

The buddy is asked first and writes a short hello. If there's no coffee by day seven, the buddy gets one gentle nudge. The new colleague never does.

  3. The first month

    Three introductions

The buddy introduces them to three people worth knowing. That's how someone new stops being a stranger.

  4. Day 90

    A proper ending

The run wraps up with a thank-you note and stays a connection. If both want more time, they can keep it going for another month.

  • Yes on both sides

Buddies opt in and are asked before every pairing. Either person can step out quietly, no reason needed.

  • Participation, not surveillance

You see who's paired and whether they've met. Never what they talk about or how often they message.

  • Not just new hires

Moved team, new office, back from leave: anyone can ask for a buddy, and only you see the request.

The buddy program is off until you ask for it, so nobody is paired by surprise.See how the buddy program works

Questions

Good to know

The honest answers people teams ask before rolling it out.

Does it work with Slack and Microsoft Teams?
With Slack, yes: Slack delivery is available on the Corporate plan, so introductions and nudges land where your team already works. Microsoft Teams delivery is coming. Email works too, and nothing requires a chat tool to get started.
How are employees matched?
From the interests and goals they share when they opt in, what they're hoping to learn and can help with, their department, and their office. Departments they haven't met yet count in a pairing's favor, and each introduction comes with a clear reason.
Can we run a buddy program for new hires?
Yes. You pair each new colleague with a buddy from people who've offered, and we carry the 90 days: the first coffee, three introductions, gentle nudges to the buddy, and a proper wrap-up. It's off by default; talk to us and we'll switch it on with you.
What about privacy?
Participation is opt-in, and matching uses what employees choose to share. Profile photos (where enabled) are shown only after a match, never on the selection step, so appearance can't bias who connects.
How much does it cost for a company?
You can start free. The Corporate plan (from $49/mo, scaling with headcount) adds Slack delivery, advanced matching, and reporting, with SAML single sign-on and HRIS sync available on request.
