Meet the people at your university you'd be glad to know.
Let's Get Coffee introduces you to people at your own university, one coffee chat at a time: classmates on other courses, researchers down the corridor, staff who know how everything works.
Only people with an address at your university can join. You choose whether to.
Each university has its own page. Find yours to see how to join the people there.
A big campus can still feel small
Meeting people at university mostly happens by accident. Lunch tables and coffee chats with someone new work best when someone makes the introduction.
Thousands of people, the same ten faces
Your lectures, your flat, your lab. A campus full of people you'd like is all around you, and nothing ever introduces you to them.
Courses don't mix
Engineers meet engineers. The economist who'd love your project and the designer who'd make it better are a building away.
Staff and researchers stay in their buildings
Postdocs, librarians and lab managers know the place inside out. Most students never meet them outside a queue.
How joining your university works
Find your university
Search by name, or type the domain of your university email.
Confirm your address
Sign in with your university email, or get a 6-digit code sent to it. A personal address like Gmail never counts.
Join when you choose
Confirming your address doesn't add you to anything. You join only when you select Join.
Meet one person at a time
Once there's someone for you to meet, you get one introduction with a real reason to grab a coffee.
Yours to choose, start to finish
Joining is your choice, you share only what you want on your profile, and every introduction comes with a reason. Saying no to one is always fine.
Feel safe to show up
Every introduction should feel intentional, explainable, and respectful. You stay in control of what you share, who sees it, and how often you take part.
- Opt-in participation
- Introductions with a reason
- Privacy-first profiles
Enjoy the reason to come back
Meeting someone new should feel warm, simple, and human, not awkward, transactional, or forced.
- Warm introductions
- A clear reason to connect
- Friendly conversation starters
Good to know
- Is this run by my university?
- Not unless its own team has made it official. Until then, the page says the community was started by members and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the university. When the university's team proves it controls the domain, the community becomes official and they can host it.
- Who can join my university's community?
- Only people with an email address at one of the university's domains: students, researchers and staff. If you signed in with a different address, you confirm your university one with a 6-digit code. A personal address never counts.
- Who sees that I joined?
- Other members of your university's community, inside Let's Get Coffee. If the university's own team makes the community official, its hosts can see who the members are and the community's activity from then on, never anything from before. The public page never lists who has joined.
- What if my university isn't listed?
- You can start a community for the people there, and we'll help you set it up. Searches that find nothing also tell us which universities to add next.
- Can I leave?
- Yes, at any time, from the community's page in the app. The people you've already met stay in your connections.
