Set up your community settings

What each settings tab controls: your community's details and picture, branding, what members can do, notifications, and more.

Updated October 10, 2026

Open Settings in your host console. It has five tabs. Switches save the moment you flip them. Forms with text fields have their own "Save" button.

General

  • "Picture & cover": your community's picture and cover photo. They save as soon as you crop them.
  • "Details": the name, a short description, and the type of community, which sets the words your members see.
  • "At a glance": your domain, status, and member count. These are managed by us.
  • "Verify your domain": shows only if your community is tied to a work domain that isn't verified yet. Add the TXT record it gives you to your domain's DNS, then select "Verify domain". DNS can take a few minutes to update, so try again shortly if it isn't found.

Branding

Brand Studio adds your logo, a square icon, and a brand color, so it feels like yours. You can also set a short name, a welcome message for your join page, and the sender name members see on emails. The live preview shows the result before you select "Save branding".

Members & matching

  • "Departments": optional. Add them if you'd like members to say which part of the organization they're in.
  • "What members can do": whether members can find people to meet themselves (on by default), host events, or start groups.
  • "Ways to meet": whether members can share and see ways to meet in your community.

Notifications

Choose how members hear about introductions and meetings. Email is always on. Other channels each have their own switch.

Advanced

Operational defaults you can read but we manage for now. Owners can also archive the community here, and restore it later.
